Checking the on-pack nutrition tables is a great way to make healthier choices and eat a balanced diet
Here at Birds Eye we are committed to helping you make informed food choices, and a key way in which we achieve this is through our on-pack labeling. On our packaging there is a wealth of information about our food- including nutrition information!
Checking the front-of-pack nutrition panel and back-of-pack nutrition table is a great way to make healthier choices and eat a balanced diet.
Know your calories
Check the back-of-pack nutrition table for the number of calories there are in a portion and in 100g of our food.
- The average woman needs 2,000 calories per day
- The average man needs 2,500 calories per day
Remember, individual calorie needs depend on many factors, including activity level.
New for 2018! Know your colours
By the end of 2018, as part of our commitment to help you to make healthier food choices and eat a balanced diet, we plan to apply traffic light colours to front-of-pack nutrition panels across our portfolio.
The red, amber and green colours show at a glance whether a product is high, medium or low for fat, saturated fat, sugar and salt.
For a healthier choice, choose products with more greens and fewer reds.
